Process service also known as “service of process” is the procedure employed by a Plaintiff, in a legal action to give a Defendant, appropriate notice of the legal action, so as to enable the Defendant to respond to the legal action. Notice is furnished by delivering a set of court documents (called “process”) to the party to be served.  Contract disputes that result in legal actions are common.  One of the most common problems routinely experienced by Plaintiffs is that the Plaintiff has filed their legal action but then is unable to serve the Defendant.  The inability to easily and quickly serve the Defendant can cause expensive delays.  Assured Serve provides a free, simple and easy solution.  When a party drafts a contract, Assured Serve is designated as the Authorized Agent For Service of Process for the other party.  It then becomes the responsibility of the other party to keep Assured Serve apprised of their current contact information so that if any legal documents are received by Assured Serve on their behalf they can be properly forwarded to the defendant.  If a legal action ensues, there is no need to try to track down a Defendant that’s evading service, all that’s needed is to serve Assured Serve with any legal action and proper Service of Process has been effectuated.  Assured Serve contacts the Defendant, informs the Defendant of the legal action and provides the legal documents to the Defendant.  If the Defendant attempts to claim that they were not properly served, Assured Serve will provide verification that Assured Serve, as the designated Authorized Agent for Service of Process for the Defendant, was, in fact, served with the legal action.

The service provided by Assured Serve is free to the party writing the contract.
